Our BA (Hons) Fine Art degree offers experienced staff who are also practising artists, dedicated studio space and well-equipped workshops, and opportunities to work alongside arts organisations and gain experience in the creative sector.

Careers in Art and Design - featuring Fine Art with Martina Mullaney, Carol Allison and Donna Claypool.
If you would like to work within a creative area, but aren’t sure which subject would suit you, join this talk to find out more about jobs within the creative industries including examples of graduates working within design studios as wallpaper and fabric designers, as documentary or fashion photographers and fashion designers, fine artists creating artworks for sale or to commission, or designers producing inventive graphic solutions. This will include a Q & A session with programme staff from textiles, graphic design and fine art.

Press Moulding Workshop with Ged Young
This workshop is an introduction to Press Moulding and Plaster casting. You will have the chance to make a plaster relief using various objects, lettering and drawing techniques to produce an artwork that is 3D but carries 2 dimensional properties.
Throughout history the relief has depicted times of struggle and unease. How can you identify with this and create you own contemporary version.
